Asalam-o-alaikum Haani, this article is targeted towards those, who claim that Celebrating Mawlid is SHIRK/BIDDAT. So that is why the scholars of the the same school of thought have been quoted, as it is mostly the followers of Ibn tamiyya, Abdul Wahab najdi the ones, who declare celebrating Mawlid to be impermissible.

And no, the above two mentioned scholars are no authority, but they're an authority to a sect known as Wahabi's, who like to call themselves salafi or Ahle Hadith.

The Intention behind this article is to make those people realize who deem celebrating Mawlid to be sinful, that all though their scholars deviated from the vast majority of Muslims, but yet they approved the commemoration of Mawlid and declared that those who celebrate it will be rewarded.

Allah hafiz.

Nice article. However, references from the Quran at the beginning should have been elaborated with further explanations. Thanks for making the effort.
